This startedwith video telemetry and I was able towatchmyself having seizures after 15 years of not knowing what I looked like. Once I overcame the initial shock, this was inspiring and constructive. I looked for ways to communicate the many sensations of epilepsy using visual language. The medical data available [18_TD$DIFF]– MRIs, EEG [19_TD$DIFF], etc [20_TD$DIFF]. [21_TD$DIFF]– provided rich material to work from. My seizures are complex, so are the experiences they deliver. I have spent years producing art in all media directly from these experiences and feel increasingly driven.
